Take the steps

Learn jazz improv with Shane Statz. We will focus on a jazz song or standard with beginner and intermediate players in mind. Reading is a must with knowledge of your major scales strongly recommended. If you've ever wondered how jazz musicians improvise, it's all broken down for you into bit sized practice steps. You will learn the melody, song form, chord changes, melodic shapes, arpeggiation, minor harmony theory, chord/scale choices, approach notes, and chord substitution.
